GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The Salon will be conducted in accordance with the requirements and practices of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP) and Polish Federation Fotoklub RP.
2. The sponsors of this International Exhibition of Photography have been awarded Recognition by PSA (no. 2017-233 ), FIAP (no 2017/287) and Polish Federation Fotoklub RP (no 188/2017)
3. Acceptances received by PSA members in approved sections of this exhibition are eligible for PSA Star Ratings, listing in the worldwide PSA Who’s Who of Photography, and credited toward the PSA Distinctions PPSA and EPSA. PSA is a non profit organization promoting the advancement of photography in all its forms to novice, amateur and professional photographers worldwide. Acceptances received by Fotoklub RP members are credited toward the FIAP Distinctions.
4. With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage,
the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can
be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even
if the entrant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.
5. Acceptances received in approved sections of this exhibition are eligible for
Fotoferia Artist Title (AFF).
6. FIAP and PSA Projected Image Division (PID) offers two projected image (Digital) sections and Nature (digital) for the FOTOFERIA INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION:
- Open color section, PID color class
- Open monochrome section, PID monochrome class
- Nature section
7. All entries in the Nature and Monochrome sections must conform to the Nature and Monochrome definition given below.
8. An entry consists of 1-4 digital images in a section by a single person.
9. There are no restrictions on images submitted in the Open section.
10. All photos will be judged in Kolobrzeg.
11. The Exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.
12. Resolution of the equipment used to project the digital files: 1920 x 1080 pixels.
13. Images identical or almost identical to the previously accepted works in all Fotoferia Exhibitions will be rejected. Also it is unacceptable to enter similar images in different sections in the same year.

Any entry without paid entry fees at the time of judging will not be judged.
MAKER’S NAME
The maker’s name and/or image title shall not be in the image area or in any other area visible to the judges of any digital files. This includes copyrights.
ORIGINAL IMAGE STATEMENT
Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of object via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This will include the Exhibition of the accepted images to be shown at the Fotoferia Portal and may include use in Fotoferia Club Newsletter or low resolution posting on websites. Entrants not giving this permission will not be eligible for awards. The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. All final work must be on photographic film, digital file, on photographic print material or digital print material. Digital images may be acquired digitally or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. An entrant's four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging.
LICENCE AGREEMENT
By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies legal Age, and own all rights to these images, including copyright or parents or guardians gives permission on his/her behalf if he/she is not of Legal Age. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright.

An on-line PDF Exhibition Catalog land Gallery listing acceptances in all sections is included with an entry fee. A link will be included on the Exhibition Website.

TITLES
Limit titles is 35 characters including spaces and punctuation. The Entry Form software will clip any excess characters resulting in an incomplete title for inclusion in the Catalog. This will cause problems when applying for Star Ratings. Titles should be in English.
DIGITAL IMAGES
Maximum digital image width (horizontal) is 1400 pixels. Maximum digital image height (vertical) is 1050 pixels. Images larger in either dimension will be rejected by the entry software. Smaller images are acceptable but place entrant at a disadvantage because of the smaller relative size on the screen when compared to properly sized images. File size no greater than 2 Mb. The .jpg extension must be in lower case letters.
FILE NAMES
There is no need to follow any naming convention for .jpg files when entering the exhibition. The on-line entry form software will properly rename files to meet the needs of our exhibition software.

STATUS LIST
After entrant submit electronic entry, entrant will receive an email confirming name, address, email, etc. plus the image titles typed in. Please review the information entered. If entrant made any errors, especially any typos in the Image Titles, please Send Email to Section Chairman to resolve.
The entries are processed periodically and the status reported on the Exhibition Web Site.
DEFINITIONS
FIAP
Definition of Nature Photography.
Nature photography is restricted to the use of the photographic process to depict all branches of natural history, except anthropology and archeology, in such a fashion that a well-informed person will be able to identify the subject material and certify its honest presentation. The story telling value of a photograph must be weighed more than the pictorial quality while maintaining high technical quality. Human elements shall not be present, except where those human elements are integral parts of the nature story such as nature subjects, like barn owls or storks, adapted to an environment modified by humans, or where those human elements are in situations depicting natural forces, like hurricanes or tidal waves. Scientific bands, scientific tags or radio collars on wild animals are permissible. Photographs of human created hybrid plants, cultivated plants, feral animals, domestic animals, or mounted specimens are ineligible, as is any form of manipulation that alters the truth of the photographic statement.
No techniques that add, relocate, replace, or remove pictorial elements except by cropping are permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the photograph without changing the nature story or the pictorial content, or without altering the content of the original scene, are permitted including HDR, focus stacking and dodging/burning. Techniques that remove elements added by the camera, such as dust spots, digital noise, and film scratches, are allowed. Stitched images are not permitted. All allowed adjustments must appear natural. Color images can be converted to greyscale monochrome. Infrared images, either direct- captures or derivations, are not allowed.
Images used in Nature Photography competitions may be divided in two classes: Nature and Wildlife.
Images entered in Nature sections meeting the Nature Photography Definition above can have landscapes, geologic formations, weather phenomena, and extant organisms as the primary subject matter. This includes images taken with the subjects in controlled conditions, such as zoos, game farms, botanical gardens, aquariums and any enclosure where the subjects are totally dependent on man for food.
Definition of the Black and White Photography (monochrome)
This definition supersedes the Document 223 and the INFO 1991/12.A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single color will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work (polychrome) to stand in the color category; such a work requires color reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.

PSA
General:

This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright. Image alteration and computer generation: Except for the restrictions on Nature images described in the Nature definition, images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the entrant. Images may not be constructed entirely with a computer and all photographic components must have been photographed by the entrant who holds copyright of the complete works submitted.
Monochrome:
An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression ofhaving no color (i.e. contains only shades of gray which can include pure blackand pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example by Sepia, red,gold, etc.) A greyscale or multi-colored image modified or giving the impressionof having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spotcoloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a Color Work.
All entries shall conform to the stricter of these definitions for acceptances to be validated by all the International Organizations granting recognition or patronage.
